Add them to your favorite quick bread recipe:
Blueberries make a tasty addition to muffin, pancake and waffle recipes. Just add half a cup of blueberries for every cup of flour in the recipe.
Make your own blueberry syrup or sauce:
Homemade blueberry syrup and blueberry sauce are simple and require only a few basic ingredients. Try serving your homemade syrup or sauce over ice cream, on pancakes or waffles, or mixed into yogurt.
Toss them in a green salad:
This Blueberry Walnut Salad can even be a main dish. The author of the recipe says this is “an easy, yummy salad, perfect for any season, with berries, nuts, and greens. For an entree add chicken, diced apples, and diced green onions!”
Use them in a dessert:
Try this Fresh Blueberry Crumb Pie. It’s easy to make and is a pretty dessert to serve in the summer months. The crumb topping (in place of a top crust) makes it lighter than a typical double-crust blueberry pie.
Alton Brown’s 5-star recipe for Blueberry Buckle is fantastic, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
