I know it’s getting kind of old to hear me complain about Safeway’s crazy sales, but it’s really annoying to have to keep track of Wednesday-Sunday only days, Friday-only deals, Friday-Monday deals, and Wednesday-Tuesday deals – and they seem to be doing more and more all the time! #I’llShutUpNow
They do have a nice deal on gift cards this Wednesday through Sunday: buy $50 in participating gift cards and you’ll get $10 loaded to your Safeway card. The $10 discount will expire seven days from when you earn it, so don’t forget to redeem it!
I actually just bought $400 worth of Lowes gift cards at King Soopers for the fuel points because we had to buy a new washing machine (ugh). This deal at Safeway definitely works out to be a better deal if you’re not buying as much in gift cards, but then again, you also have to remember to redeem the $10 reward within a week. (I seem to have trouble doing that lately!)

$1.99 for Pantry Essentials (gallon) at Safeway
Is it just me or has it ben *forever* since a laundry detergent sale with a 5 rating? I swear for the last 3 years I have always had so much Purex, All, and Arm & Hammer on my shelf it was literally sagging. I am down to 2 small jugs and don’t know what to do to get my stockpile back up!
I load up on the Fab when it is 99 cents at Albertson’s. If I have stuff with stains on it, I just add some Tide stain release, but otherwise it is good.
I’m low, too – we’ve seen Purex as a great deal here and there, and I know I got some Tide for $2.99 a few months ago, but they are definitely fewer and farther between… like everything!
Does anyone know if Safeway charges a fee for their gift cards?
I don’t *think* they do for anything except the usual Visa and Discover.

To Ali-Was there a limit of how many times you could do the deal in the same transaction?
There’s no limit, so in the same transaction I bought 36 jars of Barilla and Classico sauces and got 36 boxes of Barilla pasta for free!
Sundrop 2 Liter pop is .99 at safeway and we have a $1.00 off one Q. I picked-up my three this afternoon :)
