The American Girl Store in Denver has several craft nights and other special events coming up this month that you and your little girl won’t want to miss! Most are free and allow your child to take home their craft.

McKenna’s Reading Journal Craft: Wednesday, August 1st at 1 PM; Monday, August 6th at 12 PM; Wednesday, August 8th at 1 PM; Monday, August 13th at 12 PM; Wednesday, August 15th at 1 PM; August 20th at 4 PM; Wednesday, August 22 at 4 PM
Your girl can get into reading this summer—just like McKenna, our 2012 Girl of the Year! At this fun event, she can make her own reading journal to take home. This event is free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
McKenna “Take the Challenge Scavenger Hunt: Wednesday, August 1st at 1 PM; Friday, August 3rd at 1 PM; Saturday, august 4th at 3 PM; Wednesday, August 8th at 1 PM; Wednesday, August 15th at 1 PM; Wednesday, August 22 at 4 PM
Your girl will go on a scavenger hunt throughout the store, taking fast and fun challenges to stretch her skills along the way. Plus, she’ll get a free American Girl poster at the end! This event is free and open to the public. For ages 8 and up.
Purr-Fect Pet Craft: Thursday, August 2nd at 1 PM
Your girl will create a mini craft book inspired by these pets – a calico kitten, a, a Yorkie, and a Golden Retriever. This event is free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
McKenna Braclet Craft: Friday, August 3rd at 1 PM
Your girl will create a paper bracelet to fill with personal goals and encouraging words. This event is free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
McKenna Mirror Craft: Saturday, August 4th at 3 PM
Your girl will create a paper mirror with positive messages. This event is free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
Five Minute Doll ‘Dos: Friday, August 10th at 9 AM
Your girl will learn to do super-fast styles, including a braided headband, twisty bun, and game-time ponytail.
This class is taught by Doll Hair Salon stylists. Each girl will also receive a special goody bag with doll hair accessories and styling instructions. Tickets for this class are $24 per person. Kayla’s Belt Pouch Craft: Saturday, August 11th at 3 PM
Your girl can create and decorate her own paper belt pouch that like the one Kayla would have worn in 1764. This event is free and open to the public. For ages 8 and up.
American Girl Historical Character Scavenger Hunt: Saturday, August 11th at 3 PM; Sunday, August 12th at 2 PM;
Your girl will go on a scavenger hunt throughout the store, collecting fun facts about each historical character along the way. She will get a free American Girl poster at the end. This event is free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
Innerstar University Spirit Scrunchie Craft: Thursday, August 16th at 1 PM
Your girl can show her spirit by making a cute hair scrunchie with colorful ribbons. Then she’ll make a scrunchie for her doll with the Innerstar University school colors. This event is free and open to the public. For ages 8 and up.
Bitty Twins’ Ballet Story Time: Tuesday, August 21st at 11 AM
Preschoolers and their parents can hear a reading of the the Bitty Ballet Big Book, and learn a few basic dance positions. This event is free and open to the public. For ages 3 and up.
