It’s Friday (already?!…where did this week go?) — time for What To Make With What’s On Sale! At Sunflower Market this week, limes are just $0.20 each.
With this hot weather we’ve had lately, anything with the refreshing addition of lime is a welcome treat. Here are eight recipes that use limes!
This 5-star Cilantro-Lime Dressing is good for salads, and it can also be used as a marinade or sauce for chicken or fish. (Several reviewers said the dressing was a little on the sweet side and suggested reducing the honey to a quarter cup.)
Rachael Ray’s Jalapeno-Lime Corn on the Cob is a must-try. If you need to reduce the heat level, use just half a jalapeno and be sure to remove all the seeds. The lime-butter mixture also makes a tasty addition to any variety of steamed veggies!
Lime desserts are perfect for summer! This Glazed Lime Cake is easy to make and would be great to take to a barbecue or potluck.
The Pioneer Woman’s Key Lime Pie — that she admittedly makes with regular limes, not key limes — is simple, creamy, and delicious.
This 10-Minute Lime Cracker Pie is on my menu plan for next week! Four ingredients (sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, limes, and Ritz crackers!) and just a few minutes are all you need to put this dessert together.
Lime juice is perfect addition to summer drinks — here are three yummy drink recipes that include lime:
Simple Watermelon Cooler – The combination of watermelon and lime makes a very flavorful drink. Whole seedless watermelon is only $0.25/pound at Sunflower Market this week!
Cucumber Lime Smoothie – Cucumbers, lime juice, and sugar — simple and refreshing.
Brazilian Lemonade – This “lemonade” actually uses limes, and sweetened condensed milk gives it a creamy texture.
