We have not been here before, but May Farms out in Byers CO sounds real nice. We just moved to this area, they do field trips, it looks real nice. Its out I70 east, not too far. They have quite a bit of activities as well.

We have always gone to Rock Creek Farm as well and loved it! Our kids are little, so it doesn’t take much to entertain them. At Rock Creek Farm, it seems like you get a lot of entertainment/activity for free. All you have to pay for is the pumpkins…although, it seems like the prices of those have gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years…and the maze, but we’ve usually skipped that part since they had a free hay bale maze for the little kids. And it’s never had a crowded feeling.

Anderson Farms sounds great, too, and we might try that this year, but it just seems awfully expensive…granted we could probably spend the ENTIRE day there and never run out of stuff to do…just not sure the little ones can handle it all in good spirits w/o naps, etc. So, for us, this one might be best saved for when the kids are a little older. Plus, it seems like (from what I’ve heard) they can get quite crowded/long lines, etc. at certain “peak” times. I’ve also heard that purchasing tickets online might be the way to go so you don’t have to wait in line as much.

Rock Creek Farm is great! We go there every year and have never run into bad crowds. You actually drive your car through the pumpkin patch and choose where you want to pick. Tips: wear boots and take gloves and your own clippers (to cut the stems). Lots of other fun activities too!

We have been going to Osborn Farms in Loveland for many, many years! Now we take our grandchildren there! They open their pumpkin-picking season on Sept. 29th with their Market fair, where you are able to shop craft booths, listen to music, etc. It’s run by a wonderful family, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!! :)

Anderson Farms in Erie is great! Huge patch with a tractor pull, petting zoo and corn maze (at least last year they did!)

We have always enjoyed going to Rock Creek Farm due to it’s size and ease of being able to drive right into the patch, which helps with 2 little kiddos. For older kids, I would prefer to take a real hayride though. It can get crowded at ‘peak’ times too. http://www.rockcreekfarm.com/
