Here’s some good news for Target shoppers: they are now pricematching online stores like Amazon every day, not just during the Christmas shopping season! Here’s the scoop:
If you buy a qualifying item at a Target store then find the identical item for less in the following week’s Target weekly ad or within seven days at Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, BabiesRUs.com or in a competitor’s local printed ad, we’ll match the price. Price match may be requested at Guest Services prior to your purchase with proof of current lower price or by bringing in your original Target store receipt and proof of the current lower price.
Here’s how to to show them the online price for pricematching, according to Target’s policy:
Please show us your mobile device or a printout from a qualifying competitor’s website or Target.com. A Target team member will then verify the match using a Target device.
You can read more in the press release here, or see their pricematching policy here. Thanks, Bri!

This is great! But still leaves me with a few questions…. So, if I find an item USED on amazon.com for a much better price, does that count? And are they including Amazon Warehouse as part of Amazon.com?
I *doubt* it – since a Target employee has to verify the price on their own device, I’m guessing it will need to be on the main Amazon site, sold from Amazon.
That makes sense. I guess Amazon Warehouse is out. But I did read over the official new policy on the website and it doesn’t say it can’t be a used item, so long as the model, #, color, etc… all matches then Target will price check. I suppose it would depend on the local store manager as to how they interpret it
